Description: Flowering wet prairies, pine flatwoods, scrub, and natural lakes, including Lake Kissimmee, Florida's third largest lake, characterize this state park. Canoes can be rented on weekends. Several hiking trails and an observation tower offer views of wildlife and natural communities. Watchable wildlife: Lake Kissimmee is said to be among the best places in Florida to see bald eagles. Wild turkey, northern bobwhite, sandhill cranes, and bobcats are sometimes seen along trails. Endangered snail kites nest at the southern end of Lake Kissimmee.
