Recently Approved Rules

FWC manatee protection zones do not supersede more restrictive zones established for other purposes and/or by other levels of government.  In cases where multiple regulations have been established for the same area, the most restrictive regulation is the one that applies and is posted.

Duval County manatee protection rule (68C-22.027,FAC):  Amendments to this rule were adopted on January 10, 2007.  See Maps.

Charlotte County manatee protection rule (68C-22.015,FAC):  Amendments to this rule were adopted on July 3, 2006.  The newly-approved 25 MPH "south prong" channel will take effect as soon as the channel is marked and regulatory markers are posted.  This area will remain at Slow Speed until this happens. See Maps.

General Provisions rules (Scope and Purpose; 68C-22.001, FAC):
Amendments to this rule were adopted on October 19, 2005.

Lee County manatee protection rule (68C-22.005,FAC):  Amendments to this rule were adopted on August 31, 2005. See Maps.
