Description: Pine flatwoods and scrubby flatwoods are the typical plant communities in this park. You can float tidal South Creek and see marshes, mangroves, and an estuary. Watchable wildlife: There are several family groups of Florida scrub jays that may come close. DO NOT FEED THEM. Bald eagles are here from October through May. From South Creek, look for egrets, heron, and rails. Warblers and woodpeckers are common in the flatwoods. Ownership: Department of Environmental Protection Contact: |
