Description: A 1.5-mile trail and boardwalk adjacent to an active U.S. Department of Navy Military airfield passes through uplands, bottomland hardwoods and freshwater swamp, affording close-up views of carnivorous sundews and pitcher plants. Watchable wildlife: The aquatic habitats provide homes for turtles, fish and alligators and, occasionally, beavers and otters. Deer, fox and coyote are sometimes spotted.
