Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park
Great Florida Birding Trail site

Description:
The center of attraction at this park is the large natural spring and its 34 species of saltwater and freshwater fish. The park is also a refuge for captive-born and recuperating manatees that are ready to be returned to the wild.

Watchable wildlife:
The fish you might see in the spring include snook, sheepshead, redfish, snapper, and seatrout. Egrets, herons, white ibis, wood ducks, alligators, and ospreys are also common around the spring and Homossassa River.
